At the age of 17 Kamal's soulful lyrics and his keen ear for beat has his audiences thinking of a much older artist. Kamal was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland and has three brothers and one sister. Kamal states "myself is my biggest enemy".  He started doing beats at 14 years old along with writing his own lyrics he pulls inspiration from artist such as Charles Hamilton, Kid Cudi, 2Pac, J Dilla, 9th Wonder, Dipset, Daft Punk, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West and Eminem.

In Kamal's every growing repertory he is determined to never lets his skill or drive become complacent but rather always pushing himself not only as a Rapper, but Dancer, Writer and DJ.
